[7] Condition: Near Mint [8] Shape: Natural Inkstone with Matching Lid ◉ About the Artwork This artwork is made from the famous Suzuka stone, a specialty of Wakasa Town, Yazu District, Tottori Prefecture, and has a color similar to Ryukei stone inkstones. The beautiful reddish-brown rust color is visible throughout the inkstone, making it unique. This is an easy-to-use, vertically long inkstone with a matching lid that makes good use of the natural stone, and it holds ink well. The hill and sea areas do not show any particular stone patterns, and are a smooth, solid black color. Within this, tiny white lines, like scratches from a cat's claw, can be seen on the underside of the hill. On the underside of the inkstone, there are white chisel marks to flatten it, which is a characteristic of the craftsman, so please understand.
