I fell in love with this antique and purchased it at a shop specializing in antiques, vintage items, and curios. It's a very old, antique silk parasol. It has ivory silk fabric, an ivory resin-like handle, and a black tassel at the tip, giving it an artistic impression. Shortly after purchasing it, due to its age, the tassel strings began to fray, so I repaired it myself with a thin black satin ribbon. Also, the metal tube in the folding mechanism is designed to make it straight, but there's no clasp to hold the umbrella open, so it closes easily. I devised a solution by threading beads onto an ivory elastic band, allowing me to keep the umbrella open or close it by lowering the band. I haven't used it as a parasol. The shop owner seemed to use it as interior decor. It's truly lovely. I think it's wonderful as a valuable addition to an antique parasol collection, or for photography, as its small size and the silk's beauty, despite some imperfections, are truly stunning. How about using it as a unique accessory for a wedding? I love it and have put effort into repairing it, so I'm quite attached to it, and there's a possibility I might withdraw it from sale.
