This is a remade version of a simple HANDY PICK notebook cover, large size, brown C7051, made by Daigo. *It appears this item is now discontinued. The outer material is chrome-tanned, pigment-dyed cowhide, resulting in a uniform finish that is water-resistant, colorfast, and highly resistant to friction and wear. Also, because the shoulder (neck area) portion is used, it has a striped pattern called "tora" (tiger), giving it a natural leather look. (See images 2, 8, and 9) The corners are folded over and notched, making them less prone to fraying. (See image 10) The card pocket openings have been edge-creased, giving a sense of careful craftsmanship. (See image 11) The specifications are for a 2-part notebook, but it can be used as a 4-part notebook if needed.
