Thank you for viewing. This is a Showa-era bamboo basket, a "biku" used for keeping fish. It seems it was used to hold caught fish or as a tool box, but it has been stored in a warehouse for several decades. It is old, and there are signs of deterioration and repairs in places. Dimensions: Approximately 32cm tall, 22cm wide, and 20cm deep.
