Herend Luxury Victoria Series Teacup and Saucer Set, 3 pieces. These are new and were collected by my parent, who has kept them in excellent condition with great care. This Herend tableware dates back to 1851, during the peak of the British Empire, which ruled the seven seas. The world's first World's Fair was held in London, under the reign of Queen Victoria. There, an exhibit by the then-unknown Herend happened to catch the Queen's eye, and it was purchased for use at Windsor Castle. This successful piece by Herend was named Victoria. Since then, the connection with the British Royal Family has been deep, and it is said that Princess Diana was also a great collector of Herend.
