I made a large tote bag using domestically produced tartan check (lightly brushed) cotton fabric. It has a small outer pocket and a camel-colored leather tag. The tartan check is a medium-weight fabric with a cute, large check pattern. The lining is made of off-white oxford cloth and has two pockets. The handles are made of the same tartan check fabric, with interfacing and secured with four stitches. They are designed for carrying by hand or on the elbow.
