This is an Ichimatsu doll from the early Showa era. The body paper has been removed, and the name "Yukie" is written in a large, elegant calligraphy on the belly. It is not certain whether this was the name of the young lady who once owned the doll, or the name given to the doll by the young lady, but it is a classic and graceful name. The body paper was probably removed when it was sent for repairs. There is some color added to the forehead, mouth, and eyelids of the face. There are repair marks on the thin cracks in the arms. The cotton has been removed so that the doll can sit, and it seems that the hands, feet, and body have been reattached once. I believe this doll has been cherished. There are some scratches and minor wear and tear due to age, but the face's gofun (white pigment) is thick and has a luster, and the craftsmanship is excellent, with a very gentle and beautiful expression. The hair is human hair and there is plenty of it remaining, with not much shedding, but it is a bit stiff. The original kimono that the doll was wearing at the time of purchase was severely damaged, so it was discarded, and it is now wearing vintage clothing for a bisque doll. It suits the retro atmosphere. The height is 42cm. Although there is no body paper and no certainty, I personally think it closely resembles the work of the second generation Koryusai.
