The three and four digit alphanumeric characters below the frame are the serial number. From these and the stitching, it is understood that this is a Coach 9098, manufactured in the United States in December 1997. The 9098 (TRIBECA SHOPPER) has a main pocket that opens and closes with a zipper, and there are two pockets inside. It is characterized by the COACH stamp and the horizontal stitching on the body. It was a new product in 1998. Old Coach bags are produced without avoiding blemishes (scars from the cow's injuries), blood vessels, tiger stripes (streaks that appear on the back), daki (leather from the belly), and insect bite marks (to keep the price down). Seeing these is one of the proofs of high-quality leather with a thin surface coating.
