During World War I, as imports of German dolls were cut off, they exported Japanese-made bisque dolls to the American market. The period of activity was limited to only a few years, from 1915 to 1922, and the number of existing dolls is small, making them very rare today. This is an antique doll manufactured for export during the late Meiji to Taisho eras. ◆It has a very cute, baby-like appearance. The neck necklaces are layered with baby necklaces and cameos, creating a nostalgic and lovely atmosphere. ◆Marking: Back of head: 2 MB JAPAN 30 ◆Size: Height approx. 29cm ◆Bisque head: Beautiful ◆Composition body: Deterioration over time, peeling There is a little peeling on the tips of the toes of both feet.
