Here's a homemade two-hook bottom rig for surf casting. Perfect for multi-species fishing, targeting flatfish, greenling, stone flounder, Japanese sillaginidae, gobies, conger eels, rockfish, sea bass, and scorpionfish. As shown in the image, the leader is Daiwa Fluorocarbon Boat Leader 3, hook is Kawasemi Hooks Maruseigo size 13, and swivels with snaps and swivels are made by Yo-Zuri. Hard pipes are attached to the branch lines, the main line is nylon size 8, and the total length is approximately 110cm. This bottom rig (where the rig is above the weight) is suitable for areas with many snags or for surf casting for fish like Japanese sillaginidae. A key feature is that, based on experience, I feel that the fish bite better without unnecessary decorations, so I have intentionally not used any beads. Also, to maximize strength, I use a palomar knot for the leader and hook connection. Furthermore, I use Maruseigo hooks instead of flatfish hooks, which are prone to pulling out.
