This is a single "Keima" (Knight) piece from a Nishiki-ki (brocade flag) set, made by Seizan Kanai. Price is not negotiable. It is a Moriage-goma (raised-character chess piece), with both the front and back being hori-ume (carved and filled). (It seems Seizan Kanai only made Moriage-goma.) There are some lacquer imperfections on both the front and back (see photos 2 and 3). Overall, there are some scratches from use. The Osho (King) piece in photos 4 and 5 is not included. It's rare to see pieces by Seizan Kanai, but when you do, you'll be amazed. The pieces have been Seto-polished, giving them a shine. The style of Seizan's signature indicates the era, and this particular calligraphy style suggests it was made between 1950 and 1960. ✨If you purchase multiple pieces, I will offer a small discount.
