For convenience, it is listed as Sony E-mount, but it is an M42 mount. Helios-40: This is a famous Soviet lens (KMZ, made in the USSR), a copy of the Zeiss Biotar 85mm f/1.5. It is known for its strong bokeh (background blur), hence the nickname "Bokeh Monster." Originally an M39 mount (Zenit), an M42 conversion ring is attached. When connected to an M42 mount via the conversion ring, the position of the Helios dial may be slightly misaligned. This does not affect the image quality, but it is mentioned for your information. There are some scratches on the exterior. As you can see in the photos, the body has been partially modified, resulting in a lighter weight. It is in good condition for an old Russian lens. Based on a visual inspection by an amateur, I have not found any mold or fogging inside the lens. However, there are some coating irregularities due to aging. Although it does not significantly affect the image quality, the contrast is slightly weaker compared to newer versions like the Helios 40-2.
