This is an antique black formal kimono (kuro-tomesode). The pattern on the hem is symmetrical, so it was likely worn with the hem trailing. There is some embroidery on the flower centers and the edges of the crane's wings. Front width: 23 cm Back width: 29 cm Sleeve to sleeve length: 63 cm Sleeve length: 47 cm Body length: 151 cm Five family crests of a plum blossom within a circle. I think it would be wonderful as a material for something else.
