Purchased new from a sporting goods store. There was a scratch on the back of the band from the time of purchase, but I didn't return or exchange it because it was a hassle, and I used it as is. When I had the battery replaced at a local watch store, the hour hand seemed to have come loose. It appears to be hitting the chronograph subdial, causing the hour hand to stop every 12 hours, i.e., every time it completes one revolution.
