This is a masterpiece from Okujun, a long-established store founded in 1907. It is a very delicate kimono with bright colors and a feeling of gentleness. Unused. Currently, it is purchased from a reputable kimono shop that is featured in "Beautiful Kimono" and other publications, and the second generation is now in charge. Yuki-tsumugi Designated as a National Important Intangible Cultural Property in 1956 Designated as a National Traditional Craft Product in 1977 Registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2010 Although I lack detailed knowledge, Yuki-tsumugi has been produced since the Nara period. It begins with boiling silkworm cocoons to create cotton wadding, and it is a valuable masterpiece that is finally created through the efforts of many craftsmen and processes. Currently, the production of cotton wadding has decreased, and the number of successors is also decreasing, so the production volume is also decreasing, and its rarity is increasing. It is filled with the thoughts of those involved in its production and sale, and I believe it has sufficient value not only to be worn but also to be appreciated and possessed as a work of art.
