[Good Points] ✩ We believe that a cutting board is best [unpainted], so we have hand-planed the surface to achieve this. The chamfered parts are also finished using well-sharpened blades. First, it is planed, then wetted with water once to raise the fuzz, and then planed again after drying, so I think the fuzzing caused by water when using it is minimized. Also, the end grain, which is usually difficult to plane, is also planed. This allows water to drain in the shortest amount of time without the fuzz or sanding marks absorbing water, minimizing the deterioration of the wood due to water absorption. ✩ We predict the direction in which the wood will warp and take into account the blade contact, and we have slightly and gently rounded the shape to match the individuality of the wood. This is also a technique that can only be done by hand planing. ✩ We do not use any [sandpaper] in the production of the cutting board, so there is no worry about the remaining abrasive particles damaging the knife or eating the sanding dust. ✩ The rough sandpaper finish that is often seen recently looks smooth at first glance, but it becomes slippery when wet.
