This is a Maruyoshi style earthenware pot that my parents bought at Kintetsu Department Store (now Harukas) a long time ago. They only used it for one season and then put it away in the back of the cupboard because it was "too big." It's for 4-5 people, so it's suitable for families. Or perhaps for a couple who don't want the hassle of repeatedly adding ingredients and broth. It might also be good for cooking a large batch of oden in the coming season. It doesn't have a double structure like a Kamado-san, but you can cook rice in it normally. The simple design blends in with modern furniture and homes. It seems that the current style earthenware pots from the same manufacturer have a design with angular handles. *Photos are included for reference. They might come off to some extent if you boil and polish it with baking soda, but I haven't tried it.
