This single tool allows for the disassembly of the nib unit and piston (blind cap). Please use it for repairs, disassembly, cleaning, etc. Please confirm compatibility before purchasing, as the shape of Montblanc fountain pens varies depending on the manufacturing year. Compatibility: - Compatible with nib units that have notches on the left and right sides of the nib. (Not compatible with types that have notches on the top and bottom of the nib). Please refer to the images for details. - Piston disassembly is likely possible for all years of 146 and 149. Compatibility has been confirmed with all seven Montblanc pens in my possession (146 all-gold, ebonite feed (with and without step), current model, 149 bi-color 14C, 14K).
