These are scissors my grandmother gave to someone she taught sewing to. They were kept in a chest of drawers. They're surprisingly clean, considering they're from the Showa era. They're stamped with "Seiko-tsuki" (正鋼付き), and after researching, it seems the material used is the same as that used in kitchen knives. Regardless of the cost, they were repaired and cherished back then.
