Adhesive interfacing is attached to the back of the handles. The surface is stitched with sashiko thread. Zigzag stitching has been applied with a sewing machine to areas where the white kasuri fabric is thin. A patch has been applied to areas where the indigo-dyed fabric of the handles is thin.
