While difficult to convey in the photos, the white is more of an antique white... a Japanese-modern white, and the persimmon design is tasteful and chic. They would be great for simmered dishes, side dishes, or even for serving fruit. Although no scratches are visible, it's unclear if they are unused items from the Showa era. There are brown stains on the outside (photos 5 and 6), possibly from ink splatter. Also, there are individual differences in the coloring (photo 9). The box shows signs of deterioration due to long-term storage, so they will be shipped in a separate cardboard box. * Although 5 of the same items are being sold, the price has been reduced due to differences in quality.
