This reel is a Murata Grip made by Mr. Murata, a representative bamboo rod builder in Japan, and is designed to fit Hardy reels, but the reel foot receiver is narrow and requires careful reel selection. This reel has had its foot modified by shaving down the foot of a Kiloworld Ampex reel. It fits Murata grips and other ring & ring style grips. It has very little wear and tear, with no scratches from being set down, but there are minor scratches on the back when examined closely. A luxurious genuine leather pouch with a mouton lining is included, which is more luxurious than the reel itself. The shaved part was done by an amateur by hand, and has not been professionally polished. The drag is minimal and can be used on either the left or right side. Reel diameter: approx. 65mm.
