I purchased this about a year ago, but I haven't had a chance to use it. It's a current production model made in China, as the Swiss company Amiet has gone out of business. The back claws are secured with washers, and the hook releases when you press the side of the main body. The button on the side has become stiff due to the plating, so please be careful not to hurt your fingers when releasing the hook.
