I am currently sorting through inherited items. This is a matcha tea bowl, a valuable antique, a tea ceremony utensil, and an antique ceramic piece. It belonged to my grandfather, who was a collector of antiques. It has a deep reddish-brown glaze with white patterns that appear to be quite impressive. It appears to be quite old. The name is inscribed on the underside of the base, which is covered with glaze. It was carefully stored in the back of a display shelf in the tea room in the storehouse, so I believe it is a very good item. It has a cream-colored, unglazed clay base, a deep reddish-brown glaze, and faint white patterns that emerge from it. Over this, there are layers of white patterns, creating a three-dimensional effect. It is a beautifully composed and aesthetically pleasing piece. I think it might be Shino ware, but since it's fired, it might be called Aka-Shino ware (Red Shino ware), but I don't have the knowledge to say for sure. I think it's a very impressive item, and I would be happy to sell it to someone who appreciates it. Size: 13cm wide, 9cm high. It is quite large and has a powerful presence, with a very well-balanced design. There is no box, but I will carefully pack and ship it. They have been found in the storehouse, and I would like to put up for sale the items that seem to be of good quality. My grandfather was a hospital director during his lifetime and owned many works, including paintings and ceramics by Living National Treasures. He often boasted about them, so I believe they are all very good items. Neither my grandchild nor my mother are very interested in antiques, and we don't know which works are by whom or what kind of ware they are. We don't know if the items we are selling are Imari ware, Kutani ware, Shigaraki ware, or Seto ware. Even if they are valuable antiques or works by Living National Treasures, we have no idea of their value. It's like a treasure hunt, but most of them have names, are one-of-a-kind, and are quite old.
