A rare, large statue for its age. Typically, due to material constraints, statues of this type are usually around 20-25cm tall. (Not very noticeable as shown in the photos) ■ About Manufacturing Made in Japan by Japanese artisans from Miyako Butsuzo. Acquired in the 1990s, and it was said to have been made quite a while before that. It took about six months in total for cutting, chamfering, overall creation, and polishing. ■ Material Unknown. However, it appears to be a very hard wood, and the surface has beautiful flowing lines, suggesting it is a material used for high-quality Buddhist statues. Details are unknown due to the death of the president of Miyako Butsuzo.
