I wore this once for a Buddhist memorial service, and have washed and stored it. There is some slight fuzzing of the fabric, but no noticeable damage. Suitable for ceremonies, Shichi-Go-San (Children's Day), weddings, graduation ceremonies, entrance ceremonies, and school entrance ceremonies, etc.
