It is unclear whether this piece is the work of Matsuda Yoneji or Kyoji, the brothers. It is a work by a potter. Tarafū is an Okinawan dialect word meaning a lidded container. ◼️◼️Size 【Diameter (cm)】 Opening: 12.0, Base: 6.0 【Height (cm)】 Bowl only: 6.3, Overall with lid: 11.5 【Weight (g)】 Bowl: 299.0, Lid: 303.5, Overall: 603.0 Applying "medome" (a sealant) will make it even more resistant to stains. Lidded items are recommended for ochazuke (tea and rice), clear soup with mochi (rice cake), or mini ramen. They can also be used for sweets, candy, or small items.
