I purchased it from a vintage instrument shop about 4 years ago. It's characterized by the warm, rounded tone typical of Conn. It produces a thick, rich sound. It will be shipped in a hard case, packed in cardboard and cushioning material. 【About the Conn 6M】 Conn saxophones are famous for being used by Charlie Parker, and the 6M is a representative model of Conn. It was the mainstream saxophone for jazz players until the Selmer S.B.A and MkVI appeared. It's characterized by a straight, thick-cored sound typical of American saxophones. One of its features is that the low-key position is on the opposite side from modern saxophones. Some Conn 6M alto necks have a mechanism called a micro-tuning device. Normally, tuning is done by inserting and removing the mouthpiece at the cork part of the neck, but necks with a micro-tuning device have a screw near the cork. By rotating that screw, you can adjust the length of the neck itself and tune it.
