This is a Nagoya obi with a striking design of large red peonies dyed on a black shioze (silk crepe) background. Gold leaf is applied to the center of the peonies. There is some soiling on the front of the obi when worn right-over-left, but it appears to be an unused item that has been stored. There are no signs of wear from tying.
