Originally, this is a tool for mincing meat. As indicated by "MADE IN NIPPON" on the main body, it's a vintage, domestically-made item. In Japanese households, it's highly valued for "crushing (grinding) boiled soybeans" when making homemade miso. It has been disassembled and cleaned. While some rust is visible inside, there is no foul odor, and the handle turns smoothly. As it's a cast iron product, if you wash it with a brush and season it with oil before use, it will still serve you well. Also suitable for interior decoration.
