This is a large tea caddy (Natsume) with a design of pine-eating cranes, made by Sosetsu Nakamura, a lacquer artist of the Senke Jisshoku (Ten Craftsmen of the Sen Family). It features a gorgeous lacquer work and is a high-quality piece. It has the signature (kao) of the 15th generation Urasenke Grand Master, Hounsai. There is a needle mark on the bottom.
