They contain compact versions of foreign and Japanese folktales, making them enjoyable to read without getting bored. The illustrations are also cute. They are all written in hiragana and katakana, so children can read them on their own. The "Hajimete no Meisaku Ehon" (First Masterpiece Picture Book) has traces of eraser marks where writing was erased. Other than that, there is some discoloration.
