This is a piece by Ayako Wakana, famous for Mashiko-yaki pottery. It's only available at pottery fairs. The beautiful amber color is characteristic. It's part of my collection and I've never used it. I soaked it in water overnight as a preventative measure. Mashiko clay is very absorbent, so I always do this. It's cute and round.
