This coverall incorporates details from the 1940s "War Model" coveralls, known for their four front buttons and two pockets. Several vintage coveralls were examined and analyzed, with original details added. The War Model is characterized by its simplified construction due to wartime material restrictions, resulting in a very simple design. However, upon closer inspection, there are differences in the details depending on the individual piece, and these differences are the charm and key point of the War Model. THE GOOD COVERALL takes the best aspects of the War Model details. The key point is the adoption of raglan sleeves. Instead of set-in sleeves, which can make the shoulders look bulky if the size isn't right, raglan sleeves are used to fit various body types, allowing for a relaxed silhouette and a coverall-like fit without being too tight. Vintage coveralls often have a difficult balance between width and length to achieve a desired silhouette, but THE GOOD COVERALL has updated the size feel of the width and length. By using two cuff buttons instead of one, you can adjust the size by opening or closing the sleeves, even when changing the inner layer. The front pockets feature flapless pockets. While some War Models have flaps, the flapless design is used to make the appearance simpler and cleaner. The rounded pockets that slightly expand downwards are a signature feature of the War Model and evoke the atmosphere of the time. The lining of the lower part of the pockets is reinforced with a slake cloth. In addition, narrow double stitching reminiscent of the 40s is used. The fabric is 10oz denim (Cotton 100%) SANFORIZED made in Okayama Prefecture. To avoid a cheap feel to the warp color, instead of using 100% INDIGO, the fabric is pre-dyed to give the color depth.
