This is an old tokkuri (sake bottle). Judging from the style, it appears to be a work by Etsuro Kotaki, who was active in Mashiko. He began pottery in 1958 under Tappo Narui, a potter in Mashiko, and around 1960, he seems to have helped make beer mugs at Shoji Hamada's Hamada kiln. In 1965, he studied under Kōichi Tamura, a Living National Treasure, and founded the Zōdo-kai (Elephant Earth Society). He passed away in 1997. Height: Approximately 12.7cm - Material: Ceramic - Color: Gray - Design: Wave pattern - Shape: Slender bottle - Use: Vase Thank you for viewing.
