I received this as a gift a while ago and have kept it in storage without ever using it. The box is sun-faded, but the bowl itself is new. It's a stylish black bowl, so I think it can be used in various situations, such as for ochazuke (tea and rice), seasonal simmered dishes, or mixed rice.
