These are "Reiboku Omikage" (sacred wooden images) of each temple, made from Koya cypress to commemorate the 1250th anniversary of the birth of Kobo Daishi. They include the training image of Kobo Daishi enshrined in the center, along with images from each temple. The scent of the wood is wonderful. I have been carefully storing each one, but as my pilgrimage supplies have increased, I would like to offer them to those who need them.
