This is a photo frame designed by STUDIO JOB for Alessi. It's a modern take on the Comtoise style, using tin for the frame to evoke a sense of nostalgia. The design is quite avant-garde, featuring motifs like flies and earthworms. Comtoise refers to the style of wall clocks that were found in almost every French household from the 17th to the 19th centuries. Although they are rarely seen these days, their complex and ornate designs were very popular at the time. This is a used item, as it has been displayed on a shelf with a photo inside.
