Antique Nagoya Obi Hand-embroidered Peony Pattern Nagoya Obi A Nagoya obi with hand-embroidered, vibrant peony patterns in shocking pink, light pink, white, light green, cream yellow, and gold thread on a glossy reddish-brown satin. It is hand-embroidered. Images 8-11 show the area from the tare (the hanging part) to the tesaki (the end). There are no noticeable stains or spots on the outer fabric. The material is pure silk. As shown in the last image, there is a tear in the lining of the tare. The lining of the tare seems to be slightly weakened. The lining of the tare appears to be a fabric with some pattern that has been dyed reddish-brown.
