If it boils too quickly, reduce the heat and continue heating for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and let it steam for about 20 minutes. Once steaming is complete, open the lid, stir the rice from the bottom, and let it sit for another 10 minutes for even better results. For Direct Gas Flame: The ideal heat setting is medium to high, with boiling taking about 10-12 minutes. Once boiling, turn off the heat and proceed to steaming. If it boils in less than 10 minutes, reduce the heat. If it doesn't boil in 12 minutes, increase the heat. After boiling, turn off the heat and steam for about 20 minutes. Once steaming is complete, open the lid, stir the rice from the bottom, and let it sit for another 10 minutes for even better results.
