Found while cleaning out a relative's house, this is a Yamato baby scale. It's from almost 60 years ago. I've only done a simple wipe-down. The bottom of the basket is made of vinyl, but the dirt hasn't come off completely. The back also shows noticeable discoloration. By removing the butterfly screws and replacing the fittings to attach the top plate, it can be used as a regular scale. A stainless steel top plate is also included (see photo 8). Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to long-term storage items. No returns.
