It depicts an Enmon (circular pattern) with a series of beads and arabesque patterns on a brown background, and places white tigers and Suzaku (vermilion birds) in contrast to each other in each horizontal row, and further places animals (horses) around the Enmon. It has a complex design. The white animals surrounded by the Enmon are the white tigers, one of the four divine beasts, and the birds are the Suzaku, also one of the four divine beasts. In ancient China, it was believed that the white tiger was the guardian deity of the west and the Suzaku was the guardian deity of the south.
