I acquired this about 15 years ago. It's a hand-woven belt from the Navajo tribe of Native Americans. It's a valuable piece of ethnic clothing. A swastika (卍, manji, or hooked cross), which has meanings such as the four L's (for luck), is woven into it. The material appears to be cotton thread, but I'm not entirely sure. Please be careful as it may fade if washed. It's woven thickly, so it's durable. Besides using it as a belt, how about repurposing it as a strap for a shoulder bag? As it is handmade, there are variations in the thickness of the thread and slight fraying. Please understand this before purchasing.
