This is an amulet from the Morooka Kumano Shrine in Yokohama. The shrine's emblem is the "Yatagarasu" (three-legged crow), a messenger of the Kumano Okami. This bird was sent to guide the first Emperor Jimmu when he got lost in the mountains of Kumano. The crow is said to be a bird that calls the dawn and summons the sun, a sacred bird that guides people lost and troubled in the darkness of life to a world of bright hope. Also, it is said to be the guardian deity of northern Yokohama, where the Nissan Stadium "Yokohama International Stadium," the main venue for the Japan-Korea joint World Cup, is located. Furthermore, it features the same "three-legged crow" emblem as the Japanese national soccer team, and many soccer-related people visit the shrine to pray for the team's victory and the players' health.
