Special 1940's JC Penney 2-tone Double V-insert vintage Sweatshirt, size 40, 30s 40s 50s 60s This is a 1940's JC Penney sweatshirt. With its brand name, double V-insert, thick cotton fabric, and 2-tone body, this is a wonderful piece that speaks for itself. There is some bleach fading, stains, and wear in places, but there is no damage that would hinder wear, and it's still in a condition that allows for long-term use. Although it's a size 40, it has been resized and fits like a 36-38, but because the fabric is thick, you may be able to reduce the shrinkage somewhat by using a steam iron.
