This is a beautiful obi, woven with silver thread and featuring seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, and Chinese bellflowers, along with cranes, all arranged on fan-shaped panels. Between the fans, there is a flowing water pattern, which shimmers with a gentle, iridescent rainbow color that changes depending on the viewing angle. No matter how hard I tried to photograph it, I couldn't capture it properly with my skills... There are some signs of wear from being tied around the waist, but I don't think there are any particular stains or flaws. It's long, but the moderate thickness makes it easy to handle. I think it would be easy to match with various occasions and kimono colors, from formal wear like black and colored tomesode to visiting kimonos and tsukesage.
