Please read carefully. The power turns on, but it cannot read VHS tapes, and they become "unremovable in the normal state." As shown in the image, you can remove the tape by tilting it to the right and pressing the eject button while the power is on. The remote control is unusable even with batteries due to battery leakage. There is a possibility it could be fixed by replacing the metal plates and springs, but it's uncertain.
