It is a beautiful gourd-shaped lid rest made of white porcelain, and the six gourds (rokubyo) are known as auspicious objects that mean "good health and longevity." Only one piece has a string decoration, a work that gives a sense of playfulness and dignity. The accompanying wooden box (kyobako) has the inscription "Rokubyo Futaoki" and the artist's signature and seal, and the attached bookmark (instruction manual) states "Hirado ware, 13th generation Kasuke Gama, Kasuke Yokose."
