I have had no problems with terrestrial digital broadcasts, BS digital broadcasts, or connecting a Blu-ray recorder. This listing includes the power cable, B-CAS card, the original remote control, and a spare universal remote control. I used the universal remote when the original remote control was not responding well. I didn't notice anything concerning with the LCD display, but this is just my personal opinion.
