The gold leaf decoration and mother-of-pearl patterns add a touch of glamour, making it a very elegant and lovely work by Ryuji Fujimoto. The fabric quality is also good, and it is a high-quality item with a pleasant feel. [Ryuji Fujimoto] Born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1951. Moved to Kyoto in 1971, inspired by Kyo-Yuzen dyeing. Became independent as a dyeing artist in 1978. In 1981, he was inspired by the beauty of Wakasa-nuri maki-e mother-of-pearl and presented kimono and obi with mother-of-pearl creations. In 1989, he presented kimono and Paindore using Opal, a recrystallized gemstone developed by Kyocera.
